MBN is a new organization that was officially launched on 12 February 2006.
It proposes to engage in activities that will be of benefit to the Muslim Community
and to uplift the Ummah.
MBN plans to provide its members with various networking opportunities, assistance
in identifying and exploiting business opportunities, outreach programs and
philanthropic initiatives.
A number of projects have been identified that will enable the organization
to make a worthwhile contribution to the Australian community.
To lobby government and other parastatal organizations on matters that concern
Muslims
To raise and channel resources to various Islamic organizations in an attempt
to assist them to carry out their work
To be a voice of the Muslim Businessmen and women and Professionals in
matters that affect and concern Muslims
To liase with and co-operate with all Muslim organizations where necessary
To assess the needs of Muslims and help fulfill these- such as radio stations,
newspapers, relief work, welfare, dawah, education.
To embark on financial ventures that would be of benefit to Muslims
To be the recognised collective voice of the membership within external
centres of influence and to allow members to make a positive impact on such
centres of influence in business, cultural and political circles
To make donations for patriotic or charitable purposes.
Assist in projects such as helping the blind, providing bore-holes where
needed, assisting refugees, assisting in finding homes for orphans
